WHY YOU SHOULD REPLACE YOUR SPA COVER NOW …
HEAVY ;
A spa cover should be light weight and easy to lift on or off your spa.
Older covers sometimes absorb water over time and become very heavy to lift on
or off. This cover can be dangerous to handle
and could easily cause injury to you and damage to your surroundings.
Water saturated covers also lose the ability to
insulate efficiently and will raise your energy bill.
UGLY ;
If your cover has become ripped or seams are coming apart or sagging and
holding water on top, it’s not only ugly but has become very inefficient.
Old worn out covers breed bacteria, will
contaminate your spa water and can be extremely unhealthy. This
type of cover also loses its ability to insulate and will raise your energy
bill.
HEAT LOSS ;
Not to long ago, you only had a few choices when you purchased your spa
cover. It was either three inches thick with no slope or four inches thick with
a slope to allow rainwater to run off. These
covers were not nearly as efficient as thicker ones and cost you extra money on
your energy bills. Today’s covers are much
thicker, a lot lighter and built stronger than the covers of yesteryear.
Some advertise their covers at the same
thickness but with different foam density. Higher
density has a very minor effect on insulation and how do you know if you are
really getting one pound density or two pound density?
Our covers are sold by the thickness. Something
you can readily see or measure. Our covers are
lighter than a heavier density foam cover. A
thicker cover is stronger, will carry more weight and will save you more money
on your monthly energy bill than a heavier density foamed spa cover.
Best energy savings.
